Know Your Therapist

How did you know you wanted to be a therapist?

My journey of becoming a Dance Movement Psychotherapist was organic. It started of with me being curious of the complex ways of being in Indian family and friendship systems. While pursuing my BA Psychology (H), I was interested in the role of Dance and Movement and how that influenced/impacted the emotional expression in people. My therapeutic internship experiences encouraged me to realize the power of therapy and how it can make the slightest difference in an individuals life. That's when I knew I wanted to be a therapist.
