Hi there! I am Aakanksha Kanojia, Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with more than 7 years of a work experience. Being on Therapize gives me space to connect with you and with a large number of people in need of support.
I specialize in providing support to children with behavioural, social-emotional concerns. I have extensive work experience to cater for the needs of teenagers, young adults and older individuals with mental health conditions like depression, anxiety or relationship breakdown, work-related stress, managing difficult emotions i.e. anger or dealing with low self-esteem or identity crisis keeping in mind their past experiences, cultural diversity and behavioural patterns using CBT, BT, Art based Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness.
During the sessions, you will be encouraged to share your feelings and emotions without judgment or criticism. You will have a better understanding of your feelings and thought process aiding in making your decisions with more clarity and awareness. My approach will be non-directive, non-diagnostic, insight-oriented, informal and empathetic throughout your journey of healing.
Don’t hesitate to put an enquiry on Whatsapp, email to share your concerns regarding the process of therapy and what to expect or fix free introductory call with me to understand the overall counselling agreement which will include consent, confidentiality, safety, ethics, duration of the sessions (based on your need and concerns ranging from 6-12 sessions for 50-60 mins). Once all the queries are addressed, the time and date of the session can be scheduled based on a mutually convenient time.
